Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal services in oil, gas, and energy title matters.
  • Prepare and review complex oil and gas title opinions.
  • Conduct full title abstracting and ownership preparation.
  • Assist clients with issues related to mineral rights, land ownership, and energy law.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality work and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in one or more of the following states: Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Wyoming, or Texas.
  • Proven experience in rendering oil and gas title opinions or equivalent experience in full title abstracting and ownership preparation.
  • Strong understanding of energy law and mineral rights.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in at least one of the following states: Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Wyoming, or Texas.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the relevant state(s) of practice.

Skills:

  • Expertise in oil, gas, and energy law, specifically in title opinions.
  • Strong analytical and legal research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
