Job Overview

A law firm seeks a partner or of counsel to join its Energy practice group in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and possess experience in FERC regulatory matters, RTO, and transactional work.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on energy-related regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Engage with FERC and RTO processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategic solutions.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the practice.

Requirements

  • Experience with MISO, PJM, and/or SPP preferred.
  • Lobbying experience considered but not primary.
  • Proven track record of managing a portable book of business.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible for admission.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
