Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Restructuring Counsel to join its practice in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court workouts.

Duties

  • Represent secured lenders and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Handle DIP financing and cash collateral use.
  • Manage plans of reorganization and asset dispositions.
  • Conduct out-of-court workouts and restructurings.
  • Oversee foreclosures and liability management transactions.
  • Facilitate assignments for the benefit of creditors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of law firm experience in relevant areas.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

  • Proficiency in bankruptcy law and restructuring.
