Duties

  • Provide strategic counsel on a broad range of antitrust issues, including cartel defense, monopolization claims, and pricing investigations.

  • Lead or assist in class-action antitrust litigation, representing clients on either the plaintiff or defendant side.

  • Manage and litigate complex business-to-business disputes, drafting pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and appeals.

  • Navigate Civil Investigative Demand (CID) compliance: coordinate document collection, oversee responses, and liaise with government agencies.

  • Guide clients through merger notification and clearance processes, including pre-filing strategy, HSR submissions, and risk assessments.

  • Advocate for clients in FTC and DOJ rulemaking proceedings, drafting comments, and engaging in regulatory working groups.

  • Support or spearhead criminal antitrust inquiries, collaborating with investigative authorities and developing defense strategies.

  • Conduct appellate work: prepare briefs, present oral arguments, and monitor case law developments.

  • Proven track record of handling both plaintiff-side and defense-side antitrust class actions.

  • Familiarity with merger control, CID process, FTC/DOJ investigations, and appellate procedures.

  • Strong analytical ability to dissect market-definition issues, pricing models, and competitive dynamics.

  • Excellent advocacy skills: drafting persuasive briefs, crafting oral arguments, and presenting to regulatory bodies or courts.

  • Capacity to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously, delivering quality work under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional client communication skills with the ability to distill complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated a collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor less-experienced colleagues.
