Trademark Associate (Prosecution)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark Associate (Prosecution) for its Redwood City, CA office. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced attorneys to provide strategic legal solutions in trademark and copyright matters, including prosecution, enforcement, and litigation.

Duties

• Provide trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution services.
• Review clearance searches and prepare responses to PTO office actions.
• Handle enforcement matters, including cease and desist letters and domain name disputes.
• Engage in TTAB proceedings and manage trademark use on social media platforms.
• Advise on copyright law issues.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in U.S. and foreign trademark law.
• Active membership in the state bar with compliance in CLE requirements.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical skills for complex legal analysis.
• Effective communication with diverse clients and team members.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar membership.
