Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join their remote team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of litigation experience in hospitality, premises liability, general liability, business/commercial litigation, or related insurance defense matters. This role requires residency in or near the Dallas metropolitan area to attend in-person court appearances and other litigation proceedings as needed.

Duties

• Manage all phases of complex litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, and assist in trials in state and federal courts.
• Handle cases from inception through resolution, ensuring effective case development and client communication.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, depositions, and other litigation-related proceedings as required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in defense litigation matters in hospitality, premises liability, general liability, or related areas.
• Trial and arbitration experience preferred.
• Experience in both federal and state courts.
• Admitted to practice in Texas.
• Resides in or near the Dallas metropolitan area.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
