Job Overview
A law firm seeks a talented and motivated associate with 2-5 years of experience to join its Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice in Madison, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Represent creditors, debtors, and other parties in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other filings in Chapter 11 cases and related proceedings.
  • Assist with out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and distressed transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on bankruptcy and related corporate issues.
  • Participate in court appearances, hearings, and client meetings.
  • Manage case files and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant bankruptcy and/or restructuring experience at a law firm.
  • Strong experience with Chapter 11 matters preferred.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • New Jersey bar admission required.
  • New York bar admission preferred.
