Job Overview
A law firm seeks a full-time Litigation Attorney in Owego, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation experience and be admitted to the New York State Bar. This role involves working within a dynamic practice group dedicated to client relationships and diverse legal matters.

Duties

  • Draft legal documents, including motions, discovery, and pleadings.
  • Conduct depositions, appear for oral arguments, and attend client meetings.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients.
  • Perform legal research and draft Memoranda of Law.
  • Oversee consultations with potential clients.
  • Handle hearings, arbitrations, and trials.

 

Requirements

  • Current New York Bar admission.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience required.
  • Strong desire to further legal skills.

 

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications

  • Admitted to the New York State Bar.
