Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its expanding team in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills and will be prepared to engage in various litigation duties.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Engage with insurance professionals, clients, and opposing counsel.
• Take and defend depositions of key witnesses and experts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Participate in client interviews and witness preparation.
• Attend mediations, court hearings, and assist in trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys throughout litigation stages.
• Assist in defending complex civil litigation matters.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
