Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Transactional Attorney to join their team in Decatur, Georgia. The role involves handling transactional matters related to real estate and business law for a diverse client base, including commercial real estate companies, nonprofits, hospitality clients, businesses, and local governments across Georgia. This full-time, in-person position offers opportunities for professional growth and client engagement.

Duties

  • Assist in all phases of real estate and business transactions, including conducting legal research and drafting contracts.
  • Facilitate and participate in transactions from letter of intent to closing.
  • Independently review transactional documents and provide legal analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage transactions from initial intake through closing and/or final agreement execution.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
  • Draft and analyze contracts, loan documents, leases, and sale agreements.
  • Perform due diligence for risks, liabilities, and legal issues.
  • Represent clients in discussions to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Assist with client understanding of legal structures and entity formation.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Georgia in good standing.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong commitment to client service and a passion for helping clients.
  • One to three years of transactional real estate/business experience preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Georgia.
