Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Southlake, Texas, to join their Family Law practice. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for attorneys with a minimum of 2 years of Texas Family Law experience who are eager to grow in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties

  • Manage divorce, custody, support, modification, and enforcement matters.
  • Conduct client meetings, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and correspondence.
  • Communicate with clients consistently and professionally.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to move cases efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the firm's case management systems.
  • Meet a billable target of 27 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (active and in good standing).
  • Minimum 2 years of Texas Family Law experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and manage multiple cases.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to client-centered representation.
  • Courtroom experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
