Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in general and professional liability to join their team in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. This role offers hybrid work options and requires residency in the greater San Diego area.

Duties

  • Independently manage and defend clients in complex general and professional liability cases from inception through trial.
  • Develop and execute case strategies with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, providing strategic counsel.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals.
  • Conduct and defend complex depositions, including expert witnesses.
  • Argue dispositive motions and handle court appearances.
  • Draft and review complex legal documents.
  • Participate in client pitches and business development initiatives.
  • Assist in billing oversight and client reporting.
  • Contribute to firm committees and training programs.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.
  • 7+ years of litigation experience in general and/or professional liability.
  • Proven track record of favorable outcomes in liability matters.
  • Experience supervising junior attorneys.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Familiarity with San Diego County Superior Court preferred.
  • Existing client relationships or interest in business development is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.
