Job Overview
A law firm in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a Mid-Level Transactions Associate to join its corporate practice. This role focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters for middle and upper-middle market companies. The position offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in managing deals, working closely with clients, and contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced transactional practice.

Duties

• Assist in structuring and executing mergers and acquisitions transactions, including cross-border deals
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents such as purchase agreements and related ancillary documents
• Support private equity transactions and venture financing matters
• Advise clients on corporate governance and general business matters
• Conduct legal due diligence and analyze transaction risks
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external advisors throughout the transaction process
• Manage deal timelines and support transaction closings
• Participate in client development and relationship-building efforts

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of experience in corporate transactions or related practice areas
• Experience handling mergers and acquisitions, private equity, or venture financing transactions
• Ability to manage transactions with limited supervision and take ownership of deal execution
• Strong academic background
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction or the ability to obtain admission
