Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Beverly Hills, CA. The role involves managing all aspects of personal injury litigation, from pre-litigation through trial, requiring a seasoned attorney with trial experience and a strong background in complex cases.

Duties

  • Conduct case investigations, assess liability, and develop litigation strategies.
  • Oversee clients' medical treatment and maintain regular communication.
  • Manage case files, draft demand letters, and negotiate claims and settlements.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, and experts.
  • Engage in meet and confer efforts to resolve discovery disputes.
  • Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences.
  • Serve as first or second chair in trial, assisting in jury selection and case presentation.
  • Prepare for and participate in courtroom hearings, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience required.
  • First or second-chair trial experience required.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
