Landlord Services Attorney

Job Overview:

A regional law firm is seeking a Landlord Services Associate Attorney for its Syracuse, New York office. This in-office position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys licensed in New York—or recent law graduates awaiting admission—to gain hands-on experience across landlord-tenant law, collections, personal injury, and general civil litigation. Location:

• Syracuse, NY

Duties:

• Represent landlords in eviction proceedings and other landlord-tenant matters

• Assist with collections, personal injury, and general civil litigation cases

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence

• Attend court appearances, mediations, and hearings

• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

• Collaborate with legal support staff and attorneys on case development

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in New York or recent graduate awaiting New York Bar admission

• Litigation or courtroom experience is preferred but not required

• Willingness to handle a high volume of landlord-tenant cases

• Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission)
