Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Resource Attorney for the Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice in Houston, TX. Duties

  • Develop and update the corporate resource plan in collaboration with practice leadership.
  • Create and maintain precedent collections, forms, and other practice content.
  • Communicate relevant legal and market developments promptly.
  • Analyze market trends and optimize the firm's experience database.
  • Enhance collaboration across attorneys and offices using communication tools.
  • Improve workflows and matter management processes with technology solutions.
  • Design and deliver training programs for internal and client-facing purposes.
  • Draft client alerts and practice updates related to EGVC developments.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote tools and resources.
  • Participate in meetings to share best practices and align initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Corporate attorney, ideally with Emerging Growth or Venture Capital experience.
  • Understanding of attorney workflows and resource needs in a corporate practice.
  • Advanced legal drafting and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Project management skills and ability to improve processes efficiently.
  • Interest in practice support, technology, and change management.
  • Familiarity with legal technologies, including document automation and AI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • J.D.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice in the state of office location.
