Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly-qualified Senior Attorney to join its expanding team in Chicago, IL. The firm is renowned for its plaintiff's side wage-and-hour class action litigation and has a robust caseload in federal and state courts against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies.

Duties

  • Prosecute consumer and employment class and representative actions.
  • Engage in wage-and-hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and false advertising matters.
  • Conduct discovery in civil litigation contexts.
  • Perform oral advocacy and appear in court.
  • Handle motion practice and take/defend depositions.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in California or Illinois, or pending admission.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Proficient in motion practice and deposition procedures.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation cases.
