Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with over three years of experience in insurance coverage litigation for their Las Vegas, NV office. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and organized, possessing excellent research and writing skills.

Duties

• Draft pleadings and briefs.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Review documents in preparation for litigation.
• Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Nevada; multiple admissions are a plus.
• 3+ years of insurance coverage experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Capable of working within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Nevada.
