Insurance Coverage Attorney

A respected law firm in Garden City, NY is seeking a skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3-5 years of expertise in insurance policy analysis and related litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication abilities, with a solid foundation in drafting clear, effective legal documents. In this role, the attorney will handle complex insurance coverage disputes, working closely with clients to interpret policy language and navigate coverage issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on a variety of insurance coverage matters, including interpreting and analyzing policy provisions and handling related litigation.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in negotiations and courtroom settings, advocating effectively for favorable outcomes.
• Develop legal strategies for resolving insurance disputes, identifying key issues, and advising clients on risk management.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to craft comprehensive litigation plans and responses to opposing counsel.
• Stay current on relevant laws and case precedents affecting the insurance industry, incorporating new developments into legal strategy.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates, assisting with case preparation and legal research as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York (required), with additional bar admissions in New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania considered a plus.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in insurance coverage analysis and litigation.
• Proven track record of success in managing complex insurance-related matters.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with an ability to present complex issues clearly to clients and courts.
