Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Litigation practice in Fayetteville, AR. The ideal candidate will have up to five years of experience in Health Care or Commercial Litigation and a keen interest in complex litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to take a substantive and leading role in various cases while collaborating closely with experienced partners and clients.

Duties

  • Manage complex litigation matters in federal and state courts and arbitration forums nationwide.
  • Handle client communications, motion practice, discovery, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions.

Requirements

  • Desire to take on substantive roles in cases, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional research abilities.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to achieving firm clients' goals.

Education

  • Currently admitted to practice in Arkansas with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in Arkansas or eligibility for admission within one year.

Skills

  • Experience in civil litigation preferred but not required.
  • Experience in complex business litigation, medical malpractice, product liability, or other tort litigation preferred but not required.
