A law firm in White Plains, NY, is looking for a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its team. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of legacy planning and estate administration matters, guiding clients through every stage of wealth transfer and probate.

Job Overview
A law firm invites applications from an attorney with 1–6 years of hands-on experience in legacy preservation and estate settlement. The successful candidate will handle end-of-life planning, oversee trust and estate administrations, draft essential legal instruments, and prepare related filings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop customized estate blueprints, including testamentary documents and fiduciary arrangements

• Draft and review complex trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and ancillary agreements

• Oversee probate and trust administrations: coordinate asset gathering, creditor notices, and distribution plans

• Prepare and file petitions, accountings, and other court submissions in Surrogate’s Court

• Collaborate with tax advisors to assemble and file estate and gift tax returns

• Advise on guardianship, conservatorship, and related capacity-planning matters

• Communicate clearly with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to resolve estate issues

Qualifications & Experience

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing

• Between 1 and 6 years of professional practice focused on trusts, estates, or probate

• Proven ability to manage a caseload from intake through resolution
