Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Finance Counsel with over 8 years of experience for its New York, New York office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising on repurchase and warehouse facilities, syndicated lines of credit, securitizations, and other secured finance transactions.

Duties

• Independently manage transactions from structuring to closing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex structured financing documents.
• Advise on repurchase agreements, credit agreements, and securitization documentation.
• Handle pooling and servicing agreements, private placement memoranda, and indentures.
• Manage offering materials and intercreditor arrangements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in structured finance.
• In-depth understanding of mortgage and asset-backed platforms.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in handling collateral and servicing issues.
