Consumer Financial Services Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their Consumer Financial Services Practice Group in White Plains, NY. This role offers flexibility for remote, hybrid, or in-person work arrangements.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of case files from inception through resolution.
• Handle court appearances and depositions regularly.
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and appeals.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
• Conduct thorough case assignments and assist with legal strategy development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in financial services, regulatory defense, securities fraud, complex commercial litigation, and/or compliance counseling.
• Federal and state court experience.
• Background in defense-side consumer financial services litigation preferred.
• Experience with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and PACA is preferred.
• Experience developing case strategy and taking/defending depositions.

Education

• JD degree with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Current Bar Admission in good standing to at least one U.S. jurisdiction; multiple bar admissions a plus.
