Structured Transactions Associate or Of Counsel

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified junior, midlevel, or senior associate or of counsel to join their structured transactions practice group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate and/or finance transactions, with a preference for those with a background in structured finance and securitization. This role is available in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC.

Duties

• Engage in structured finance and securitization transactions.
• Collaborate with team members on RMBS/ABS/CLO/financing matters.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients in structured transactions.

Requirements

• Experience in corporate and/or finance transactions.
• Background in structured finance and securitization preferred.
• RMBS/ABS/CLO/financing experience highly preferred.
• Active member of the bar in the state of the office location.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant state.

This large New York law firm opened with a labor and leveraged-leasing practice and quickly built a substantial corporate and litigation practice. Today the office is organized into the following practice groups: Business and Finance, Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Taxation, Personal Law, Antitrust, and Trade Regulation. Unlike many other national firms with local offices, the New York office has an independent practice base generated by its attorneys. The New York-based attorneys spend substantially all of their time working on behalf of clients of the New York office.
