Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy project development and construction, with a focus on drafting and negotiating complex agreements.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate EPC and balance of plant agreements for energy projects.
  • Handle equipment supply contracts and long-term service agreements.
  • Manage subcontracts and vendor agreements within the EPC framework.
  • Draft asset management and operations agreements with major vendors.
  • Collaborate with legal teams on project development matters.
  • Identify and resolve complex legal issues creatively and strategically.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of legal experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience with energy projects such as wind, solar, or gas facilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Active license to practice law or eligibility to waive in.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in the desired location.

Skills

  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to follow industry trends and identify business opportunities.
