Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Silver Spring, Maryland. Duties

  • Advocate zealously for clients in legal matters.
  • Maintain detailed billing records in 6-minute increments.
  • Describe work performed with accuracy and detail for fee requests.
  • Report any client or legal complaints to a Partner promptly.
  • Supervise paralegals and law clerks in accordance with professional standards.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of legal practice experience.
  • Admission to the Maryland bar or eligibility through the UBE within one year.
  • Understanding of Maryland and applicable professional responsibility rules.
  • Superior writing and advocacy skills.
  • Commitment to civil rights and employee rights.

Education

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Maryland.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written advocacy skills.
  • Experience interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and judges.
  • Detail-oriented approach to legal work.
