Job Overview:
A nationally recognized personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Brooklyn office. This role involves handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters through all stages of litigation, including trial.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from filing through verdict in state and federal courts
  • Meet with clients and initiate lawsuits
  • Draft and respond to written discovery
  • Conduct fact witness and expert depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Prepare cases for trial and try cases to a verdict
  • Draft and file post-trial motions as necessary
  • Participate in litigation meetings, audits, and trial preparation programs
  • Supervise and guide litigation support staff throughout case progression

Requirements:

  • Active New York law license in good standing
  • Proven success in personal injury litigation and jury trials
  • Minimum of 2 first-chair jury trial verdicts required
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through trial
  • Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation management skills
  • Experience directing and collaborating with litigation support teams

Education and Certifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in New York

  • Strong legal research and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines effectively
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
