Job Overview

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Construction Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience, be licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and possess a client-centric mindset. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys and partners, assisting in various aspects of construction law, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and taking depositions.

Duties

  • Assist senior attorneys and partners in managing construction-related legal cases.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motions related to construction law disputes.
  • Conduct legal research using the latest technology and tools to support case strategies.
  • Take depositions and assist in trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide client-centric legal solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in all legal work.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in litigation, preferably in construction law.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct legal research efficiently using modern technology and tools.
  • Strong business acumen and presentation skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
