Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team in Fair Lawn, NJ. The ideal candidate will manage a high-volume caseload and practice in both state and federal courts, focusing on healthcare reimbursement disputes.

Duties

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution
  • Draft and file complaints and responsive pleadings
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions
  • Develop litigation strategy in reimbursement and coverage disputes
  • Engage in settlement negotiations
  • Appear in CT state and federal courts
  • Collaborate on complex healthcare litigation matters

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Licensed and in good standing in Connecticut (required)
  • Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey or New York (preferred)
  • Licensed in the Federal Court of Connecticut (preferred)
  • Prior experience in healthcare litigation, insurance coverage, or reimbursement disputes preferred
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases independently

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing in Connecticut
  • Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey or New York (preferred)
  • Licensed in the Federal Court of Connecticut (preferred)
