Job Overview
A law firm seeks a patent agent to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

Duties

  • Draft and file high-quality patent applications.
  • Oversee and manage patent preparation and prosecution for a diverse client base.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Admission to the USPTO is required.
  • Experience with graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics circuitry and actuators is preferred.

 

Education

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics.

 

Certifications

  • Admission to the USPTO.

 

Skills

  • Superb writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to draft, file, and prosecute patent applications effectively.
