Job Overview:
An international law firm is seeking a Construction Associate with at least three years of experience to join its Global Projects Practice in Houston. This position focuses on drafting and negotiating complex construction agreements supporting energy and infrastructure projects.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of construction and project-related agreements
  • Handle EPC, EPCM, balance of plant (BOP), equipment supply, and operations and maintenance contracts
  • Support domestic and international energy and infrastructure transactions
  • Analyze and interpret complex contractual and project-related issues
  • Work closely with partners and project teams on transactional matters
  • Assist with managing deal teams and coordinating project documentation
  • Supervise or support junior associates when appropriate
  • Provide responsive and high-quality client service throughout project lifecycles

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling construction contracts and project agreements
  • Experience with energy and infrastructure sector matters preferred
  • Familiarity with EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and O&M agreements
  • Experience managing transaction workflows and collaborating with legal teams is preferred
  • Interest in the energy industry and infrastructure development

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
