Job Overview

A Connecticut-based law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a minimum of three years of experience in residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of title review, closings, and contract negotiation. This role involves significant interaction with clients, lenders, and realtors, and requires a flexible schedule and in-state travel.

Location

  • Stratford, CT

Duties

  • Perform title rundowns, title review, and title recording

  • Review and revise purchase and refinance contracts

  • Conduct residential real estate closings (purchase and refinance)

  • Maintain professional communication with lenders, realtors, and clients

  • Travel throughout Connecticut for closings, including evenings and occasional Saturdays

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling residential real estate transactions

  • Ability and willingness to travel to closing locations across Connecticut

  • Reliable transportation and flexible availability

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar (required)

  • Current Connecticut Notary Public commission (required)

  • Bar admission and/or notary commission in neighboring states is a plus

Skills
