Business Litigation Attorney - Junior or Mid-Level Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with approximately 2-5 years of state and federal corporate and commercial litigation experience to join the team in San Diego, CA. This role offers substantial client contact, practice development, and professional growth opportunities.

Duties

• Draft motions, including discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare meet and confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Compose client reports and other legal documents.
• Argue minor motions and handle routine court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation.

Requirements

• California bar admission.
• Experience in business litigation, including corporate and commercial matters.
• Strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills.
• Experience in moot court and/or law review preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience is beneficial.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar.
