Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Appellate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. This position involves working on significant employment, wage-and-hour, class action, and representative litigation matters that influence California law.

Duties

  • Draft appellate briefs, writ petitions, motions, and other appellate filings.
  • Analyze and preserve appellate issues throughout litigation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys on dispositive motions, jury instructions, and post-trial motions.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and provide strategic recommendations on novel legal issues.
  • Assist with oral argument preparation and appellate strategy.
  • Monitor developments in California employment and class action law.

 

Requirements

  • Active membership in the California Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of appellate litigation experience.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience drafting appellate briefs and dispositive motions.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex matters independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality advocacy.

 

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

 

Certifications

  • California Bar membership.
