Job Overview

A law firm seeks an IP Litigation Associate with a focus on Life Sciences/ANDA for their Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent litigation and be comfortable engaging in court proceedings and client interactions.

Duties

  • Participate in underlying case analyses and conduct factual and legal research.
  • Draft pleadings and participate in discovery on infringement, validity, and damages issues.
  • Conduct depositions and engage in expert discovery.
  • Research and draft dispositive and discovery motions and claim construction briefing.
  • Participate in pre-trial and trial activities.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of significant patent litigation experience in U.S. District Courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Experience with ANDA and/or other life sciences patent litigation.
  • Comfortable speaking directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Willingness to actively participate in strategic case development.

Education

  • Undergraduate or master's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or other life sciences discipline.
  • High level of academic achievement from a law school institution.
