Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Wilmington, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on a national and international scale, focusing on electrical and computer science intellectual property.

Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical innovations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Experience in physics, math, optics, photonics, audio, or image processing preferred.
  • Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI is a plus.

Education

  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.

Certifications

  • USPTO admission.
