Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its office in Roseland, NJ. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and commercial lending. The role involves representing various stakeholders in a wide range of commercial real estate and related business transactions.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements.
  • Represent lenders and borrowers in commercial financing transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction structuring.
  • Manage commercial real estate closings from inception through post-closing.
  • Advise clients on zoning, land use, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist with business and transactional matters related to real estate.
  • Collaborate with attorneys on complex commercial transactions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support business development.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; New York Bar admission is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience representing lenders, borrowers, developers, and investors preferred.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
