Associate Attorney - Immigration Law

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Spanish-speaking Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL to practice both removal and family-based immigration law. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of attorneys dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties

• Attend hearings and interviews before EOIR, USCIS, and Federal Court.
• Oversee the preparation of court filings, consular-processing, and adjustment of status applications.
• Draft legal documents and briefs and conduct legal research.
• Maintain client relationships and prepare clients for hearings and interviews.
• Manage and oversee general case management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar.
• High proficiency in the Spanish language.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Minimum of 2 years of immigration-related legal experience.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to a U.S. state bar.
