Duties

  • Review ALJ decisions, hearing transcripts, and medical evidence to identify appealable issues.
  • Create detailed, persuasive Federal Court briefs and written arguments.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure case files are complete and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate case tracking and uphold quality and productivity standards.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; New York Bar license preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Social Security Disability law, administrative law, or appellate work preferred but not required.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
