Job Overview:
A prominent regional law firm is seeking an associate to join its Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Area. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in complex bankruptcy matters or judicial clerkship experience. This position offers a great opportunity to work on high-level restructuring, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights cases while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Location:

  • Buffalo, NY

Duties:

  • Handle complex bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights cases.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategy.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other proceedings.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate case developments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in bankruptcy law or judicial clerkship.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York State or Connecticut.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New York State or Connecticut.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
