Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Junior Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their team in Cleveland. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced attorneys in a dynamic environment focused on personal injury law.

Duties

  • Work with and learn from the Medical Malpractice team in the litigation process for assigned cases.
  • Negotiate settlements to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
  • Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings, and draft and argue motions.
  • Conduct depositions.
  • Manage all aspects of trial preparation, including witness preparation, evidentiary analysis, and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Strong proficiency in discovery practice with a proven track record.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional research and analytical writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and adeptness in trial preparation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analytical writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
