Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate (Mid-to-Senior Level) to join their Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group in Los Angeles, CA. The candidate will focus on environmental, health, and safety-related transactional matters, providing expertise in due diligence and regulatory counseling.

Duties

  • Lead environmental due diligence for real estate sales and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
  • Counsel clients on environmental regulatory matters and negotiate civil enforcement cases.
  • Manage matters related to waste disposal, air emissions, water discharge, and environmental reporting.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of transactional deal experience in environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Experience in environmental due diligence and regulatory counseling.
  • Active bar membership in Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Texas, or California.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in managing complex environmental matters.
