Associate Attorney - Business Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Litigation practice group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in business litigation and will thrive in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth through mentorship.

Duties

• Develop client relationships and establish legal objectives.
• Draft pleadings and manage all aspects of case discovery.
• Conduct depositions and prepare expert consultations.
• Research complex legal issues to support case strategies.
• Manage intensive fact discovery using electronic platforms.
• Report comprehensively to partners and clients.
• Communicate and negotiate persuasively with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage caseload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
