Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The attorney will manage a complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial, providing an opportunity to work within an established practice group.

Duties

  • Handle medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial.
  • Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Guide clients through the case process.
  • Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the SC State Bar Association.
  • Minimum 5+ years of medical malpractice experience, preferably Plaintiff.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
