Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Energy Transactions and Projects Associate or Counsel to join their renewable energy and infrastructure practice in Houston. The ideal candidate will have significant transactional experience in project development, project finance, or related infrastructure areas.

Duties

  • Engage in project development and finance transactions.
  • Work on infrastructure projects, including energy and non-energy sectors.
  • Participate in transactions involving data centers and conventional or renewable energy.
  • Handle tax equity and public-private partnership (PPP) projects.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project development or project finance preferred.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy and energy transition projects.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills

  • Strong transactional and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and transactions.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
