Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney in Dallas, Texas. This role involves advising lawyers, matter teams, clients, and practice groups in transactional law. The attorney will align innovative legal technologies with workflows to optimize value and efficiency, serving as a conduit between lawyers, clients, and the Technology Department.

Duties

  • Partner with practice groups to develop strategies for optimizing legal service delivery through technology.
  • Replicate practice group successes by applying learned lessons across teams.
  • Configure legal technologies to meet practice group needs.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing technology solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients on AI projects and collaborate on shared workflows.
  • Implement outreach initiatives to increase technology engagement.
  • Collaborate on projects with various firm teams.
  • Stay informed on legal industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Communicate with vendors to maintain strong relationships.
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet firm goals.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent, admission to the relevant state bar.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a practicing lawyer or in legal operations.
  • Transactional experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and legal tech solutions.
  • Experience in strategic legal technology projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of transactional legal matter lifecycle preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal tech adoption techniques desirable.
  • Experience in business analysis and client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team player in diverse environments.

Education

  • JD or equivalent.

Certifications
