Senior Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate to join its New Jersey-based litigation team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload across multiple areas of civil litigation while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide case updates
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and experts to develop case strategies
• Prepare status reports and ensure compliance with deadlines

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience handling cases independently from start to finish
• Experience in state and federal courts in New Jersey
• Experience with depositions, dispositive motions, and discovery
• Familiarity with arbitrations and mediations
• Strong advocacy and case management abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar
