Job Overview

Duties

• Interview inventors to understand new ideas for patenting.
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications.
• Investigate and prepare non-infringement and invalidity opinions.
• Participate in patent litigation to provide technical support.
• Perform client counseling tasks under senior supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of life science work experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Strong academic credentials with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to grasp new technical teachings quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field.

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
