Job Overview:
A reputable Connecticut-based law firm is seeking a qualified Residential Real Estate Attorney Associate. This position is ideal for a motivated legal professional with a strong background in real estate transactions, title matters, and client relations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a fast-paced workload and traveling throughout the state for closings. This opportunity is presented by a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Location:

  • Hartford, CT

Duties:

  • Perform title rundown, review, and recording

  • Review and revise purchase and refinance contracts

  • Conduct refinance and purchase closings

  • Maintain professional communication with lenders, realtors, and clients

  • Utilize real estate legal software and tools

  • Travel to client closings across Connecticut, including evenings and occasional Saturdays

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential real estate law

  • Active CT Bar membership in good standing

  • Valid CT Notary commission

  • Reliable transportation

  • Willingness to travel throughout the state

  • Evening and weekend availability for closings

  • Bar membership or Notary commission in neighboring states is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Connecticut Bar admission

  • Connecticut Notary Public Commission

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of title procedures and documentation

  • Proficient in reviewing and drafting real estate contracts

  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills

  • Experience with industry-specific software

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
