Corporate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Attorney for a fully remote position based in Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to manage a personal caseload, engage directly with clients, and work within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial contracts.
• Negotiate business agreements and transactions.
• Provide day-to-day outside general counsel guidance and strategic support.
• Support the corporate legal team on assigned projects and client matters.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships.
• Deliver practical, business-minded legal advice with a solutions-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
• Resident of Virginia, Washington, DC, or Maryland.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate or transactional law.
• Willingness to learn and practice employment law.
• Ability to meet a 1300 billable hour expectation for raises and bonuses.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing work independently.
• Excellent communicator who values collaboration and client service.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with strong business judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
